To Philippines Embassy to collect visa… What an experience!

Friend A: Hey missionary! Welcome come back!
Me: Yeah!
Friend A: So how was Philippines?
Me: Awesome! Really awesome!
Friend A: Tell me more. What did you do?
Me: My main job was actually translating... I also did teaching in Children Outreaches…
Friend A: Wow! Best ah you! What else you do?
Me: I also did praise and worship
Friend A: Wow! You did praise and worship!
Me: Yes.. Just simple one, with one praise and one worship
Friend B: Wah! Someone did praise and worship!
Friend A: Wow! Wow! Pastor! Pastor! Yanni did praise and worship during her mission!
* pissed off by Friend A’s reaction … if Friend A’s purpose of telling was just cause happy for me … sorry, I cant feel it at all …

Morale of the story:
Keep quiet! Don’t share much with people you know will laugh your breakthrough!

this is ... FAST!

From “Oh! This is going to be long! 6mths of battle to fight!” to “Phew! Finally completed 1mth already!” to “Yeah! Half journey completed!” to “That’s fast! 9weeks left to SOT!” to “Oh man! Exactly 2mths more!” to now “Too fast! Only 7wks left to graduation!”

7 weeks
7 x 7days = 49 days left
7 x 5days = 35 school days left (yet to minus off public holiday)

This is fast! Haha!

Way before, I was still telling myself about the “highlights” I need to complete and that will draw near to end of SOT. First was mock cell group, second was preaching test and lastly was mission trip.

Of course we had our last round of mock cg this week, started our 2 out of 4 preaching test this week too and in two weeks time, we will have our another 2 rounds of preaching test and also that week flying off for mission.

I completed most of the “highlights“ and that will also means … ... ... ... SOT is coming to an end!

As expected, when something almost come to an end … there tends to be mixed feelings inside everyone - on one hand, we don’t wish this to end but on the other hand, we are looking forward to the completion of SOT.

Recently at the last mock cg, the evaluator was sharing with us that many of the ex SOT students commented that they felt a lost after SOT completed. No more “corporate worship time in the morning”, “no more spiritual atmosphere”, “no more spiritual friends supporting you” etc but entered into the “real world”.

She shared with us to carry all that we learned in SOT and go to wherever God place us. In our church, we may not be a preacher or a CGL but just be the best member in the cg.

7weeks … if you say is long, is not long but if you short, is not short either. Haha!
Whatever it is, got to treasure every moments for the last 7weeks!
