Book of Love

1-2mths before our SOT graduation, I thought of doing card for everyone to write for everyone.
Since I have most of the photos and most time available, I decided to do it on my own.

Just a little token from me to let everyone appreciate and affirm everyone and of course for everyone to keep it as a memory.

With the design I have in mind, I started with selecting photos. It can be quite challenging to choose SOME from the MANY.
With the help of Huili who helped me combined few photos in one, I managed to get it printed nice and affordable.

The production kind of like “factory line” as everything I do got to be x19 since I’m making for 19people - from captions to wordings, from printing to cutting to pasting etc. First I get the individual set where each teammate will write their message on done. I managed to pass to teammates with a week grace for them to write. But apparently due their busyness, they only managed to finish writing and passed to me during the last few days of school.

They were “stress” in writing too. Haha!
Funny-ly as they wrote, they “nagged” a bit but the more they “nagged”, the more they wrote.

They wrote in class.. They wrote while waiting..
They wrote when they went for breakfast..

Even till the very eve of the day to present the card to every teammate that I was compiling for each individual. I spent the entire night getting all done… didn’t managed to sleep actually.

But I think I was just too tired/sleepy… made a few mistakes. Oops!

I guess EVERYTHING paid off - my $$$, my time, my lack of sleep are all worth it when you see every
individuals blessed/touched when reading message from each individuals.

Graduation - Part 2

21 August 2011

Been a tiring week + weekend.
Thank God Teammate JL and I didn’t overslept but reached Suntec on time for the early reporting time. I even managed to go for a proper breakfast with team leader.

Most of Team8’s local students actually graduated at the 1st service. 2nd service mostly the international students.
Sat together with those who had received their cert. Not sense of nervous, no agenda, we basically just enjoying the service and cheering for our teammates.

At awards-presentation, Teammate SM won “Best Minister” We cheered and clapped like crazy! Woohoo! He definitely deserved it! So proud and happy for him!

The moment we been waiting for - throwing of our mortar hat.

FINALLY… after a good 6mths, we officially GRADUATED from SOT.

Straight after, we went to the front to take photos with Pst Kong & Sun.

Not forgetting some of the pastors.

Surprisingly, few of my cg members were there too!

We also gathered as a group to take the last few shots while we still in our gown.

1st “reality” hit in - the end, is time to return the gown.

We changed.. Returned gown.. settled this and settled that.. We left

Next up - our team’s very own graduation celebration cum “last” team gathering
. Managed to arrange a bus since there were so many of us and family members of some teammates.

It was a simple celebration over food and fellowship.

We relaxed.. We talked.. We laughed.. We massaged each other.. Haha! We just enjoyed each other's company.

Teammate GL did a video where there were photos of ALL of us throughout the 6mths and also speeches for Team Leader and one another.
We also had simple and short sharing from the different ones. It was definitely warm moments.

We ended with gifts-presentation.

“Tired” was written ALL over my face when everything ended!

This event was organized by Teammate GL and I.

From coordinating with teammates to planning for the food to arranging for transport to payment etc.

Thank God everything went smoothly well.

Though it was not full strength, with 3 teammates who cant make it but all effort definitely paid off probably there wont be anymore chance where ALL of us can gather this way.

Graduation - Part 1

20 August 2011
One of the two graduation services - the service that I graduated in.

We were @ Suntec early. Supposed to have another round of rehearsal but due to time, we didn’t manage to have a full rehearsal.

SOT’s very own praise/worship team kicked off the service, followed by our Dean Pst Bobby who took the offering.

After that was a 7mins sharing by one of the SOT students - who happened to be from Team8! Woohoo!!! Apparently it been quite some years since there were a female preacher @ SOT Graduation. We are all so so so so proud of her!

After Pst Abraham's sharing of the Word, it was then the Graduation Ceremony cum Awards Presentation.

Right from the beginning of the service, I was filled with amazement and gratefulness to God. There were so many moments that I just felt tears in my eyes.
(got to be “cautious” how I cry cause of makeup… Oops! Haha!)

Never did I expect I will have a day like this. I have attended many SOT graduation, some as “supporter” to my cg or ministry members, some just as “audience”.
But this time I am not “supporter” or “audience” but as graduate! Different feeling to be in the graduation gown, seated at the section for SOT students only.

By God’s grace, I was one of the winners of “Best Attendance”.

Went to look for my cg when the whole service ended. As I was approaching, I was touched and almost in tears when I saw BIG banner with my name spelled out individually.

I’m blessed! I'm loved!

My principal, Mrs E Tan actually came with another colleague of mine!

Actually about a week before my graduation, we were msging each other so I shared with her the joy that I will be graduating soon. She asked for the details but then didn’t give me any reply whether she can make it a not.
Understand her busyness so told her is ok and I really appreciate her thoughts. She didn’t said “no” immediately, just said she will try her very best.

On that day, not long after service started, I received a msg from Principal and Z Laoshi that they are in the service. I was touched, very touched!

Cause (1) Mrs E Tan is very busy so for her to take her Sat, a weekend off… is really amazing (2) Mrs E Tan ever mentioned that she don’t quite enjoy those “loud” praise and worship cause it will trigger her headache but the fact that she braced through all these and attended CHC for my graduation. I’m touched!

After that was photossssssssss-taking time!

The night ended with a dinner time with Teammate YG and her family who came from Taiwan and also Teammate JL with her church’s pastor and wife.

Study! Exam! Study!

Towards the second half of SOT, especially during the peak period of exams and deadlines for book review… went out to study/read almost everyday, often with two of my teammates.

From MacDonald...

To TCC...

To Delifrance...

To Carl Junior...

To (many times) Starbucks…
Most of the times was from day to night, latest until 10pm.

For me personally, I find studying outside with friends or alone being more effective cause whenever I get home, I tend to be “tempted” to fellowship with my bed more than the books. Haha!

So all in all, thank God for studying-kakis!
