I wOnDeR.....

Recently I was chatting with a friend about a particular joyous event – we were pretty shocked with the responses we received when we spread the infos to others.

How do you “weigh” your relationship with each individual?
How will you show love & concern to someone (eg. A friend)?
To what extend will you show love & concern to someone?
How will you determine the degree you want to bless someone?
Is there anything that will be an "hindrance" you in blessing that someone?
What's your reason of blessing?

Personally I feel at the end of the day, is really up to one self. Learnt in my DPT that philosophy is impt, it determines how we do things & of course how we view certain things. I believe likewise in our relationship with one another, what's our philosophy? It always take two hands to clap so is really up to one individual how you want to clap. =)

fInAlLy...

FINALLY, FINALLY and FINALLY ... I am going for water baptism!!!!! =)

Maybe you be thinking, “Yanni already 2x years young so why only now?!”
Hmm... DO - Dad Objection. Though he is not a very strong Buddhist, he is actually quite strict in this area. But maybe I also didn't really ask him personally before. Just remembered once @ family gathering, my relatives & dad were talking about religious and one of their topics was on water baptism. My dad like made a remarks that he don't approve water baptism. Ever since then, I never dare tell him I want go for water baptism. Hmm... maybe I should have ask earlier.

Few weeks ago, water baptism was “opened”, nothing strike me at first until at recent cgm, my CGL challenged those who are yet to go for water baptism to take the stand as she knows those are who yet to are above 21. She then shared with us about those days when she & her members would kana threats of locked door, change of house's padlock, strong PO etc when they go for water baptism but it doesnt stop them from standing for God.

This hit me ... decided NOW is the time for me to stand for God. =)

A week later, I decided to tell my dad about it. Though I was determined to TELL my dad and not ask him, I was still worried what if he say no then how?
Struggled a while before I stepped out in faith to TELL my dad I'm going for water baptism. Thank God his initial reaction wasn't big. He kept asking me why etc then he posted his real concern, “What if next time your boyfriend not Christian then how? * flipped * Hmm... traditional dad. Haha!

After some peaceful “debates” & assurance to him ... my dad agreed!
Praise the Lord!

ps: mark down your calender ... Sat 19th July @ JW – if you are free, do come witness this great moment with me!

Hooooooooooooooooooooray! 14th Jun – presentation & submission of “Young Children & The Self and Social Awareness” assignment ... up to date, did couple of assignments, never one have I such a big relieved when submitted the assignment.

Is a group assignment... much was required from us – 2 games, 4 activities, 2 songs, 2 rhymes and 1 electronic story. That day when we submitted the assignment, we were like “FINALLY! We can sleep in peace tonight!” We even joked that the kit that we made doesn't just contained the games we created but also our blood, our sleepless nights and our sweat. Haha!

One of my friends ever made this comment, “when Yanni do assignment, many are activated” Haha!

a big THANK YOU to those who in one way or another helped made my part possible...

Mr SiA – oh man! What can I say? Thank you for being the “director cum camerman” to my video! Thank you for the “magic” you performed on my pictures. =)

Mr ChEr – Thank you for lending me your “wife” for not just once but many times! “She” been a great help to me! =)

MiSs TaNg – Thanks for helping me to conquer powerpoint! =) Felt sense of satisfaction when I did up my powerpoint slides with all those animation!

MiSs ZeNg – Thank you for going the extra mile! =) That night I thought, “Die already! Final lap then my printer mood swing”. What the devil meant for evil, God can turn it around for my good.

=)

Last weekend been awesome ... witnessed the “BIG DAY” of 2 friends – bride herself & groom.
Was one of the bride's entourage (my very first time) as well, been a nice experience. =)

More than just bargaining for hongbao, to me ... it been my greatest pleasure to be able to be of help to the loving couple!

Especially to the bride, she had always been a great friend so on her big day, Yanni will say,
anything & everything also no problem!”

once again ... CONGRATULATION to CaLeB & JaDyN
Have a blissful & blessed marriage! =)

tHe PoWeR oF pRaYeRs...

Three times a week, our zone will gathered on the phone to pray ... for breakthrough in attendance and for the events that particular week.

=) Talk about BREAKTHROUGH...
It came since few weeks ago ... we asked God for 230 in our entire zone and we hit 239 that week!
Last week as an individual zone, we pray and believed God for 104 and we hit 108!

Just in my bus alone, W5 also experienced breakthrough! Is only the beginning ... MORE to come! =)
It started with weeks ago where W5 hit 20 (average attendance only 15-17). Soon after that week, it never stops ... for the past two weeks, it was 18! Wowow... looking forward for this coming week.

Indeed God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine!

1 Cor 3:7-8
So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

oH mY! oH mY!

BLESSED, so blessed is how I felt @ my recent “21st” bdae! Hee!

I'm totally amazed by the thoughts of my FRIENDS, appreciate EVERYONE of them – the time they spent, the $$$ they spent, the effort they put in, the gifts they gave etc.

From friends to cg friends to ministry friends to friends from ex cg...
~ appreciate those who take time off to meet me up
~ appreciate those who sacrificed their sleep (after overnight pm) and met me up for dinner, even planned a “surprise” though half the time I suspected it. Haha!
~ appreciate those who did planning on how/when to celebrate & what to get for me.

~ received wowowow gifts ... 3/4 of my presents are items which I need currently.
~ I'm blessed with more than $300 in cash!

=) But what's really matters to me – one that $$$ can't buy ... is the greetings/smses from my FRIENDS!

ps: if you yet to send your greeting, you can still do so by 19th Jun ... haha ... cause Yanni usually celebrates her birthday for one month.

WoWoWoW

After the long break from Certificate in Preschool Teaching (CPT), it was a challenge to take up Diploma in Preschool Teaching (DPT). One of the challenges cum fear I can say will be to face the “outpouring” of assignmentsssss!

Up to date... I have accomplished 2 individual assignments & 3 group assignments (quantity like so little but it felt like I have done many ... haha).

Out of 2 individual assignments, one B+ and another which I got back recently was A! Didn't expect A for that module as the lecturer has high expectation and I did this assignment rather last minute also.
Out of 3 group assignments, one yet to get back but the other two we got A (the only group to get A). Wowowow!

PRAISE THE LORD! =)

just a thought ... if only this I have this kind of result for my olevel ... haha!

a peep into some of our assignments.....

Found this @ the back of my school's report book...

If a child lives with criticism,
he will learns to condemn

If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight

If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy

If a child lives with shame,
he learns to feel guilty

If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient

If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence

If a child lives with praise,
he learns to appreciate

If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice

If a child lives with security,
he learns to have faith

If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,
he learns to find love in this world

oVeRwHeLmEd...

Guess how did I spent the eve of my bdae?
The most amazing way one could ever ask for ... I spent it with God in His presence @ JAMs Overnight PM. =)

I must admit that in the beginning, I wasn't really focusing, many agenda flooded my mind but very quickly I told myself I need to focus on God, I need to tarry, I can't let go just like that, I must wait until God touch me.
Wow! Not long after, the breakthrough that I'm longing for came!

And suddenly, a touch from heaven
Jesus came
And rescued me

And suddenly, a touch from heaven
Jesus came
And set me free

I wept and wept and wept ... don't know how to describle but just felt overwhelmed by God's love despite how undeserving I am. =) I love being in His presence!
DaJie prayed for me ... one word that she said to me which I remembered clearly was “BOLDNESS!”

BOLDNESS ... as I desire to do more for Him & for His kingdom!
Looking forward for MORE encounters with Him! =)
