SOT Mission to Manila - #6

Throughout the entire trip, the five of us were truly very loved and blessed by the people @ Batangas.

Pst Nilo and his wife, Pastora Ella treated us so well, gave us the honor and respect despite us being just “Beginner Missionaries”. For a moment, we felt like we were "Superstars". Haha!

The youth from PUP respected us so much that whether in their opening or closing sentence, they will address us “Ate” for elder sister and “Kuya” as elder brother.

We were truly blessed and amazed - from the first meal we took to the last meal @ Batangas were actually blessed by Pst Nilo! Later we found that the money was actually collected from the church members as love offering to bless us.
Awwww… They may not be rich people but they are definitely generous and loving people!

We were also very blessed at all the quality and quantity fellowship with Pst Nilo over meals. Throughout the conversations with him, Pst Nilo spoke in English and Teammate ML and/or I tried our very best to translate for our Taiwanese teammates.
It can be quite mind-draining, especially (1) Pst Nilo don't stop after few sentences for us to translate and (2) after a long day.

Can still remembered one of the nights was actually quite tired/sleepy so the biggest “challenge” was not in translating but keeping my eyes opened. Haha!

Ever since we were back from Philippines, we managed to link up with quite many of them on facebook. Really thank God for that!

Ever since then, we didn’t never stopped be in contact with the people @ Batangas. Even during our graduation, we remembered to take photo/videos and tag them. They did their part - whether through fb or through times when we met each other online.

Quite encouraged by this youth T and youth H who openly shared their lives with me. I'm also thankful that they are allow me to have a speaking right over them and that I'm able to be a source of "help" and support for them.

Even during Pst Nilo's birthday recently, we mailed over a little gift. Whenever he sees the calender with us on it, told him to remember that the five of us will be constantly praying for him, his family and the people @ Batangas.

The people @ Batangas will forever be in our hearts, mind and prayers!
