Loooooooooongest - 2

The busyness of work went over to weekend… ever in school on Sat but still my FIRST time in school on a Sun!

Sat 13/11

Spent solid 13hrs in school - from 930am to 1030pm!

Throughout the day, few other levels’ teachers came back in the morning to send their photos to develop and in the afternoon to do their work too. But all K2 teachers, Mrs M Low, Z Laoshi & myself were back!
Thankfully, principal Mrs E Tan actually helped us sorted the children’s stacks of mindmap and arranged the dividers for us. How many principal will actually do that?

Z Laoshi & my desk…

Mrs M Low’s desk…

It went on and on and on… finally done with 20 worksheets + few activity sheets for each child. With the arrival of photos that came @ 2plus, we went straight to sorting the photos accordingly. We went on again and this time to paste the photos, stapled the stack together and final check for “mistakes”.

Really JUMPED FOR JOY when one class of portfolio done then followed by 2nd, a total of 49 children. In the midst, we the K2 teachers went “crazy” - singing song to ask God for help, talked “nonsense” and even shouted “Help! Help!”. Haha!

Sun 14/11
JAMs then main service
(Thank God for strength… zzz monster didn’t visit me during service)

Straight after service, cab over to collect outstanding photos before I made my way to school after swallowing my lunch.

That day was from probably 4pm to 9pm… did photos captions.
And while waiting for free ride, helped Mrs E Tan who with the help of Mrs M Low’s two children, pushed out all the stuffs from all the classrooms.

This I really must salute her… she knows that all the teachers been busy over the week thus she helped us to push out the things first cause with that following day on Mon, the teachers wont have to come earlier to do “physical exercise”.

At evening time, one K1 teacher came back with her stacks of portfolio to paste her photos and another nursery teacher came back with her "troop" of family members to help her with compiling of portfolio.

Back home, can’t sleep immediately, got to work on children’s remarks. Not type but handwritten for 49 children. Write until hand numb and eyes went crossed. Haha!
The following day Mrs E Tan were joking that from the handwritten remarks, she can see that the teachers are tired cause some of the letter went “funny”.

Mon 15/11
Jumped up from bed @ 5plus and set off to school.
Passed done written remarks to Mrs E Tan for check and signature.

Stayed back after dismissal to do the final:
1) file in the remarks into observation file

2) paste the captions on each photo
Went to office to show “victory” sign when … … “ALL FINISHED!!!”
While other levels’ teachers were still working in their classroom, K2 teachers were all done and “relaxing“! Really thank God for that!

Tues 16/11
All items returned to the children
Whew~~~~~~~

In conclusion…
Hmm… to think about it, maybe others who look at us may think “since got so many things to do, so why do it so last minute?”
Trust me, not because we want to, we just cant help. All of us were busy from the “beginning”, also prior to that we were busy with concert and there are couple of things which the teachers cant do it early.

At the end of the busy period, really thank God for His grace & His strength! With the limited time, all the teachers managed to clear the work load before the due date.
And despite the late nights, none of the teachers were down physically. As for myself, despite of the the "intense work" + late nights, I was not tired/sleepy during school hours.

Despite of the busyness, thank God an unstress atmosphere + a group of happy colleagues! Instead of losing our cool or get irritated easily, we were laughing + joking + eating away! This definitely made the busy hourssssssss passed easily!
